Playa Langosta
A quiet, low-key alternative to Tamarindo beach just a 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk south.
Blue Flag beach
Playa Langosta is a crescent-shaped tan sand beach about 2 kilometers south of Tamarindo, fronting a quieter, higher-end residential area with far fewer shops and restaurants than its neighbor. Rocky patches and strong currents near the estuary mouth make it better suited to surfing and beach walks than casual swimming. Punta El Madero, the point between Tamarindo and Langosta, has held the program's top five-star Blue Flag rating.
