A directory of businesses and services in Costa Rica where every listing is checked against live sources before it goes up. It currently covers Manuel Antonio and Quepos, with more regions coming as each one can be verified to the same standard.

It is run from Manuel Antonio by people who live in the area year round. That is the point: local verification beats remote scraping.

Right now it does not. Eventually we plan to offer clearly labeled featured placement and referral partnerships. The listing data itself, the phone numbers, hours, and links, is free and stays free.

Google shows you what businesses and review platforms have published, which in Costa Rica is often years out of date. We check each listing against live sources, show the date we checked it, and leave a field blank rather than publish a guess.

It is the date a human last checked that listing against live sources such as the official website, active social accounts, and recent reviews. If a listing has not been re-checked in a while, the date tells you that too.

Because we could not confirm it. We publish verified facts or nothing, so an empty field means our research could not pin that detail down yet, and we would rather admit it than send you to a number that rings dead.

On a rolling cycle, with the verified date updated each time. Listings that fail re-verification get reviewed, and businesses that have closed are removed from the site entirely.

We take the listing down. We keep an internal record so it does not get re-added by mistake, but visitors never see pages for dead businesses.

No. Every description is written by us, in plain language, based on verified information. That is deliberate: a directory where businesses write their own entries is an ad wall, not a directory.

A relative price level from $ (budget) to $$$$ (high end), based on typical prices for that type of business in this area. They are a quick signal, not a menu.

Because WhatsApp is how Costa Rica actually communicates. Many businesses here answer WhatsApp messages faster than phone calls or email, and some have no other reliable channel. The message button on a listing opens a chat directly with the business.

Not through us. We connect you directly with the business, by WhatsApp, phone, or their own website, and you book with them at whatever price they actually charge. We never sit in the middle of the transaction.

Manuel Antonio and Quepos today, covered deeply rather than thinly. The Costa Ballena area (Uvita, Dominical, Ojochal) is planned next, then Jaco, then onward region by region.

Tell us what is wrong and what it should say. We will verify the correction against a source you control, such as your website or official social account, then update the listing and refresh its verified date.

Please do. We strongly prefer real photos from the business itself, and they will be credited to you. No AI-generated images of real businesses appear on this site, ever.

Outbound links carry UTM tags so that you can see in your own analytics exactly how many visitors this directory sends you. It is your data, in your dashboard, proving what the listing does for you.

No. Ranking is not for sale here, full stop. That policy is permanent and it is the reason the directory is worth being listed in.
