Costa Rica feria calendar

The feria (farmers market) is where a town buys its week's produce, and where a visitor sees it at its most local. Here is what runs and when, grouped by day, in the zones we cover. We verify what we publish and never invent a date.

Tuesday

  • 8am to 12pm

    Feria Org谩nica de Tinamastes rural

    Sal贸n Comunal, Tinamastes de Bar煤 (mountains above Dominical)

    The much-loved Tuesday organic and artisan market in the mountain town of Tinamastes, between Dominical and San Isidro. Organic produce, homemade goods, superfoods, crafts, and a relaxed hill-town atmosphere worth the drive.

Wednesday

  • 8am to 5pm

    El Mercado de Bah铆a (Uvita Wednesday market)

    Sal贸n Comunal, Bah铆a Ballena (Uvita)

    Uvita's midweek market in the Bah铆a community hall. Local produce, hand-made foods, crafts, and live music around midday; plastic-free by policy.

Thursday

  • Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday 6am to 11am

    Feria del Agricultor de Jac贸

    Parque Central de Jac贸

    Jaco's farmers market, recently moved into the central park. Thursday is the full-day session; Friday wraps up in the morning.

  • Thursday from early morning into the evening, Friday morning to early afternoon

    Feria del Productor Generale帽o (San Isidro / P茅rez Zeled贸n) regional

    Central San Isidro de El General, P茅rez Zeled贸n

    The big regional producers' market for the southern zone, about an hour inland from the coast. The widest selection and best prices in the region; schedules shift, so confirm before a special trip.

Friday

  • Friday from midday into the evening, Saturday morning

    Feria del Agricultor de Quepos

    Quepos waterfront, near the town center

    The weekly farmers fair that supplies Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Produce, fish, prepared food, and crafts; Friday is the bigger session that runs into the evening.

  • Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday 6am to 11am

    Eco Feria Dominical

    Beachfront, Playa Dominical

    Dominical's organic, plastic-free farmers and makers market by the beach. Local produce, prepared food, and artisan goods, vendors vetted for quality.

    Feria del Productor Ose帽o (Palmar Norte) rural regional

    Centro de Palmar Norte, Osa

    The Saturday producers' market in Palmar Norte, south toward the Osa Peninsula. A rural option for travelers heading down the coast.
