Playa Los Suecos

Considered the best snorkeling spot on this stretch of coast, bordering the Cabo Blanco reserve.

Playa Los Suecos, also marked as Playa Cuevas on some maps, sits at the southern tip of Mal Pais bordering the Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Reserve and the Cueva Murcielago wildlife refuge. It is a small beach, walkable end to end in about 15 minutes, with calm water at low tide that is well suited to snorkeling among fish, rays, and small reef life. A rock outcrop at Punta Murcielago holds a bat cave accessible at low tide.
