Punta Uva is a pair of calm, curved beaches split by a jungle-covered headland about 7 kilometers southeast of Puerto Viejo. The point breaks the surf into gentle, protected water that is considered some of the calmest swimming on this coast, and the headland trail offers a lookout over both bays. The Bandera Azul Ecológica program awarded it 1 star in 2025.
From Puerto Viejo, follow the coastal road southeast about 7 kilometers past Playa Chiquita; several signed turnoffs lead to the two beach sections on either side of the point.
