Playa Hermosa
A Blue Flag beach with calmer water than Coco, a short drive north.
Blue Flag beach
Playa Hermosa is a gray-sand beach a few minutes north of Playas del Coco, calmer and more residential than its neighbor. It has held the Bandera Azul Ecologica Blue Flag in recent seasons and offers steady conditions for swimming, paddleboarding, and diving trips run out of local shops on the beach road. A line of hotels, condos, and beachfront restaurants backs the sand without the density of Coco's town center.
