Bahia Pez Vela is a small, secluded cove on the same stretch of Blue Flag coastline as Playa Ocotal, largely fronted by the private Bahia Pez Vela Resort. Access for non-guests is limited since most of the shoreline sits inside the resort property, but the cove itself is calm and sheltered, typical of the small bays along this part of the coast. It is roughly 35 minutes from Liberia airport by road.
From Playas del Coco, follow the coastal road south toward Ocotal; the cove and resort access road are a short distance past the main Ocotal beach turnoff.
