Playa Pelada is a small half-moon beach just north of Guiones, framed by rock outcrops at each end that make it a favorite sunset spot. A tidal blowhole at the beach's southern rocks shoots seawater into the air at the right tide, and shallow tide pools form between the rocks at low tide. The beach has a local surf break at its northern end but is not a swimming beach due to rocks and current.

Getting there
Reached from central Nosara via a short gravel road to the La Luna restaurant beach access, between Playa Guiones and Playa Nosara.

Playa Pelada falls within the Ostional refuge's protected boundary and sees occasional solitary olive-ridley nesting outside the main arribada beach.
