Playa Guiones is Nosara's main beach, a roughly 7-kilometer stretch of light sand that runs south from Punta Nosara. Consistent beach-break waves draw surf schools and longboarders year round, and the beach holds the Bandera Azul Ecologica (Ecological Blue Flag) for its water quality and cleanliness. The strip behind the beach carries most of Nosara's hotels, surf shops, and restaurants.
