The original Monteverde cloud forest reserve, protecting over 10,000 acres along the continental divide. Visitors choose self-guided circuits or join naturalist-led Natural History and Night Walks with a maximum of 10 people per group. Entry runs on timed slots with a complimentary shuttle from the visitor center below the gate.

Café Monteverde Coffee Tour

A two-hour guided tour through the fields and roastery of Café Monteverde, a collective of 21 local families producing specialty coffee. Visitors walk the coffee plantation, see the milling and roasting process, and taste five types of coffee, with picking and processing viewable during the October-to-March harvest.
