Blue Flag beach

A dark-sand beach on a narrow peninsula about 15 km south of Golfito, with the calm inner Golfo Dulce on one side and the Rio Coto Colorado mangroves on the other. The northern stretch near the village is mostly flat and good for swimming, while the southern end has enough of a shorebreak to surf. It holds a Bandera Azul Ecologica flag with two white stars and one pink star.
