Blue Flag beach

A boat-access beach on the western shore of the Golfo Dulce, bordered by the Piedras Blancas National Park and a private rainforest reserve. The dark sand curves for close to a mile with calm, gulf-protected water, and the surrounding forest is intact primary and secondary jungle rather than developed coastline. It holds a Bandera Azul Ecologica flag with two white stars.
