Playa Danta

The beach anchoring Las Catalinas, a walkable planned beach town with restaurants right on the sand.

Playa Danta is the main beach of the planned town of Las Catalinas, a calm cove of light gray sand fronting the development's beachfront shops and restaurants. Small waves make it a good swimming and boogie boarding spot for families, and the beach stays popular with locals on weekends despite construction still underway in parts of the town. All Costa Rican beaches are public, so access is open even though the surrounding land is private.
