Playa Guapil

A river-mouth beach north of Dominical that most visitors drive past without noticing.

Playa Guapil sits about 4 kilometers north of Playa Dominical, reached by a turnoff near Hacienda Baru. A river mouth splits the sand near a small park, and the beach stays quieter than Dominical because most visitors drive past it without stopping. Dark volcanic sand and jungle-backed dunes run along the shore.
